EBAC dehumidifiers are effective solutions to environmental control problems. The CD425 ranges of units are high capacity dehumidifiers, made to operate at high efficiencies between 33 and 95 degrees F by removing moisture from the air through the refrigeration process. The fan draws the moist air through the cold evaporator coil, which cools the air below its dew point. Moisture forms on the evaporator coil and is collected in condensate tray before draining away through the condensate tube. The cooled air then passes through the hot condenser coil where it is reheated using the same energy removed during the cooling phase, plus the additional heat generated by the compressor. The air is, therefore, discharged from the dehumidifier at a slightly higher temperature with a lower absolute humidity than that which entered. Continuous circulation of air through the dehumidifier gradually reduces the relative humidity within the area.

Low Temperature Operation: These versatile dehumidifiers include Ebac's signature reverse cycle "Hot Gas" defrost system to make low temperature dehumidifying possible. With this system, each unit quickly melts away frost in temperatures below 33 degrees F, even down to 0 degrees F. Normal operation resumes with little downtime, making "set it and forget it" operation a reality. The CD425-D is especially ideal in areas that experience wide temperature fluctuations such as crawl spaces, remote pump stations, pipe galleries, and mechanical equipment storage areas.


The CD commercial dehumidifiers are all supplied with an internal humidistat as standard, and will operate as a stand alone unit, or installed into a ducted system. A remote Interface is available allowing connection to either a remote humidistat, which has voltage free contacts, or the EBAC  remote touch panel which incorparates and internal humidity sensor and also facility for an external humidity sensor. This panel also provides EIPI / EBAC local indication of the remote dehumidifiers status & operation.
