Affordable Commercial Duct Mount UV Light Bulb Air Purification

Breathing. It’s so central to our existence, so part and parcel of what it is to be alive, that our bodies have learned to breathe without us even thinking about it! Normal rates of respiration for resting adults is 12 to 16 times a minute that we inhale not just the good but also the bad of the air around us – toxins, chemical, dust, pollutants. And since traditional HVAC systems are designed only to ventilate indoor air, these systems end up circulating a mix of outdoor emissions and concentrated indoor pollutants and toxins released by products, people and pets.

That’s 12 to 16 times a minute or about 21,000 times a day you’re really breathing in unclean air loaded with harmful microorganisms and toxins. Research has shown that poor air quality is linked with a range of health concerns, and a ‘growing body of scientific evidence has indicated that the air within homes and other buildings can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor air in even the largest and most industrialized cities’. In commercial settings, the same or worse is often true.

The good news is that duct mounted UV-C light air sanitizer unit destroys 99.9% of bacteria, germs, viruses, mildew and molds when exposed to proper wavelengths of UV light for the correct amount of time. This duct mounted germicidal ultraviolet lamp air purifier innovatively uses 2 light bulbs with a combined power output of 72 watts to emit artificially created, effective germicidal UV-C light. UV-C light kills almost all bacteria, viruses, germs, mildew and molds that cause harmful microorganisms such as the influenza virus and other viruses. Nearby surfaces that are exposed to UV-C light are sanitized of these pathogens, as well.

When inserted into your air conditioning system’s ducts or shining down on the coil, the GermAwayUV 72 Watt Heavy Duty Commercial HVAC UV-C Air Sanitizer Machine will irradiate the air and surfaces nearby killing bacteria, eliminating viruses, removing germs, destroying mildew and molds, leaving only the freshest and cleanest air! It’s a must have for anyone with a sensitive respiratory system, asthma and allergies.

GermAwayUV’s Powerful UV Sanitation Range

Most cheap duct mounted UV light bulb air sanitizer systems on the market today are only 9 or 18 Watts in power. These common UV bulbs are really only effective in small spaces like studio apartments. This GermAway product, however, offers a full 72 Watt power, twice the strength used in successful laboratory tests many years ago, which can effectively sanitize air in ducting servicing a room, office or larger home of up to 2400 sq. feet or up to 5 ton residential HVAC air conditioner / furnace systems.

UVC Output (measured on EIT UV Power Puck II)

@ 1″ around bulb output is 8.5 mw/cm^2
@ 5″ around bulb output is 4 mw/cm^2
@ 10″ around bulb output is 1.75 mw/cm^2

The above UVC output figures are more than enough to be effective for a 24″ by 18″ air duct at 5 Ton air speeds.
